Very Shocking >>62yrs Old Kenyan Teacher Climbed The World's Highest Mountain. The Team was like woowwww...

James "KG" Kagambi on the Hillary Steps on May 12, just before climbing Everest. He credits the Sherpas with keeping him and the other climbers safe on their journey to the summit.

James "KG" Kagambi climbed Mount Kenya, his second highest mountain in his native Africa, when he was 23, and vowed never to climb it again. "I hated it," he recalls. "His head hurt when he reached 15,000 feet." But it was his first encounter with a magical substance. “I just loved snow. After that, I couldn't stop."

He soon quit his job as a geography, music and physical education teacher from fifth grade to his eighth grade. And in his 39 years, Kagambi has climbed the world's peaks. Among other things, he has climbed Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro "hundreds of millions of times," Mount Denali twice, and Mount Aconcagua (the highest peak in the United States).

He has taught climbing from Patagonia to the Rockies and has trained climbers and guides all over the world. Then, in 2020, he was invited to join his team as the first black climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

Kagambi is resting on the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. We can learn a lot from nature, he says. "Being outside forces you to take care of yourself. Learn simple things like things and recognize simple things that can put your life at risk."

Kagambi, now 62, will land at Nairobi airport this Monday and return home as a national hero. On May 12, he became the first Kenyan to summit the world's highest mountain. This is one of his six climbers on his Everest Expedition full circle that reached the top of the 8.5-mile mountain.

Congratulations

Great Kenyan pensioner
