Just In UEW: massive demonstration held by level 400s students......

 Following the current issues circulating in the media, concerning UEW level 400 students not able to access their results for the previous years, the entire students in level 400 from different departments decided to embark on a demonstration against the school authorities incapable to resolve their issue till now.

they gave signal in the school by spread the schools fire extinguishers and disorganizing the lecture halls with the aim of not allowing the school to start the end of Semester exams for level 100 to level 300 which was a day before today ...Monday 10th October 2022. 

the whole idea is that, when they allow the other levels to have their examination done and vacate, the school authorities may not consider their plead talk of resolving it...

still ongoing, they start their demonstration this morning in the school's south campus, which was quite smooth, to do but worsen up to the level of making the campus not conducive for learners around and in the campus, who were having their online exam today and those preparing to for their exam the next day.

the school authorities said the issues is almost resolved hence the level 400s should halt their activities, prior to this... the students respect that move by the school authorities and stayed come.                          just recently, the level 400s were saying the school couldn't move them from the ITs portal to the OSIS the promised to do which would have resolved the whole brouhaha leading to the second attempt of demonstrating again ....

      

Due to how the demonstration was going police officers who were well armed were brought to ensure peace and order, so as at 3:00pm today the demonstration was going down gradually thanks to Ghana Police Service for bring the tension down.

               ...............first attempt info............                                       kick start - Friday, September 23, 2022, Level 400 students at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) demonstrated against school administrators for failing to update their cumulative records for the previous three years.

As a result, the students claim, they are unable to monitor their academic progress.

The final students are expected to graduate in three weeks, but they do not yet know how many points they earned.

On the North campus, the demonstrators demonstrated with tree branches and prevented vehicles from entering the campus.
