 The Office of the President has appointed Dr. Eric Nkansah as the new Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES).



Although his appointment is provisional, it will be effective immediately pending consultation with the GES Board and Public Service Commission.


Dr. Eric Encancer has indicated he will accept the role within 14 days, the president said in the letter.



It was also one day after Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa was dismissed because his services at the GES were no longer needed.
